Physical Therapy – Getting Patients Moving Again
A core component of our Rehabilitation Services include Physical Therapy. Provided by certified, highly trained and experienced Physical Therapists, these services focus on helping patients to regain their mobility and normal functions. Recognized for their compassion as well as expertise, our Physical Therapists become trusted members of our patients’’ families as well as trusted allies for Primary Physicians concerned about quality care for their patients.
Wound Care and Management – Hope and Healing
For patients suffering from chronic, slow-to-heal wounds, our PT-certified wound specialists provide the latest wound care and management treatments and techniques including less invasive MIST therapy wound debridement, whirlpool therapy and ultrasound for the detection, monitoring and predictive mapping of a wound’s progression. Our wound management specialists have achieved excellent outcomes for controlling and healing persistent wounds.
Occupational Therapy – Treating Trauma

Speech Therapy – Giving Patients Back Their Voice
MHG offers the area’s only Rehabilitation Services team that includes a Speech-Language Pathologist certified in external electrode vital stimulation for patients suffering from severe pharyngeal dysphasia and vocal cord dysfunction. Working closely with our radiologists, our Speech-Language Pathologists also uses fluoroscopic techniques to capture video images of patients’ swallowing functions – a critical tool in helping identify and treat swallowing problems.
Our team also works with a range of neuropatients whose speech, language and cognitive skills have been impacted by stroke, brain trauma, MS, ALS and other neuromuscular conditions.

MHG’s Rehabilitation Services combines the interdisciplinary expertise of certified Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, PT-certified wound management specialists, RNs, orthopedic surgeons, general surgeons, speech therapy pulmonologists, GI specialists, and a range of specialists – all with the shared goal of improving patient lives.
As a central part of this collaborative team, primary physicians, family members and caregivers are kept continually informed about the patient’s progress. We serve as an extension of the patient’s primary care, and as support for the patient’s family. Our priority is to return the patient to the people who care for and love them, and to the environments they call home.
